Welcome to the Cordova Recreation & Parks Foundation

Kim Oliver

I joined the foundation’s board of directors shortly after graduating from Leadership Rancho Cordova in 2019 and after many years of volunteer service within my community. I served as the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Chair and am currently serving on their board of directors. In addition, I am an active member, and past director, of Lend A Heart Lend a Hand, a non-profit organization that provides animal-assisted therapy through ongoing programs in a wide range of facilities and settings in the Greater Sacramento area. I am the owner of Oliver’s Captured Moments, a photography business based in Gold River and focused on residential/commercial real estate and assisting small business professionals with their visual marketing needs. After retiring from the military, my family and I settled in the Gold River community. My favorite activities include cycling, camping, and traveling.

Angela Griffin

Board Member
Angela serves the Folsom Cordova Unified School District as the Director of Communication and Community Engagement and has over 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. Angela holds an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America and a Bachelor of Arts in English from UCLA. In addition to serving on the Board for the Cordova Recreation and Parks Foundation, Angela is a Board member for the California Schools Public Relations Association and a member of the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce leadership class of 2019. Especially important to Angela is promoting equitable access to resources for young people who face social and economic inequities. Being part of the CRPF is an honor and a joy for Angela, and she looks forward to serving the interests of the Parks District and its stakeholders.

Amy Hale

Vice President
Amy is a twenty-five year veteran educator who began teaching middle school just outside of Kent, OH where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education and a K-12 Special Education teaching credential from Kent State University. She earned her Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix before her family relocated to California. After enrolling her child in a Catholic school in the Diocese of Sacramento, Amy soon followed and returned to teaching full time. For the past five years Amy has served as a principal in diocese. Most recently, she has served at St. John Vianney School in Rancho Cordova. Soon after Amy started working in Rancho Cordova she and her family started making plans to relocated to the city. "It had been a long time since I lived and worked in the same place. Since my husband was already working from home at the time, I knew it was my chance," explains Amy. The whole family has enjoyed living and working in Rancho Cordova!

Kristina Richardson

I am the proud Principal of Folsom Cordova Community Charter school, which is a home school program. I am in my 18th year in education having spent 11 years as a high school ELA teacher, 5 years as a Literacy Coach, and now a Principal. I am married with two grown children, and I cherish our family time together. I enjoy running, cooking, and reading in my spare time. I am so grateful to be a part of the Cordova Recreation and Parks Foundation, and how our foundation supports the Rancho Cordova community and it's access to all that the Cordova Recreation and Park District offers. I strongly believe that balance in life is critical for health and well-being, and all of the activities and opportunities that are available for the Rancho Cordova community, provided by the Cordova Recreation and Park District, is a wonderful way to achieve that balance. I look forward to what the coming years will bring!
