We are excited to announce our first ever photography contest! This year’s photography contest is all about capturing the diversity of our community as it relates to parks, recreation and/or golf!

What do we want to see?

We want you to capture the beauty of community diversity within Sacramento County* through your camera lens. This could be of people playing at any of the 43 parks, engaging in the many arts and sports programs offered by Cordova Recreation & Park District, or even of individuals playing at the Cordova Golf Course.

*Includes the City of Rancho Cordova and the communities of Gold River, Larchmont, Mather, Riviera East and Rosemont East and additional incorporated communities within Sacramento County.

The Details:

  • Deadline: Saturday, June 25
  • Up to 3 photos can be submitted per individual

Prizes!

Of course you want to know what you may win if selected! That’s the exciting part!

Selected winner will receive:

  • $50 gift card to any Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) program or class
  • Selected photo will be featured as the cover for the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 Recreation Guide!
  • Major bragging rights!

Guidelines

Please be sure to to read all guidelines before submitting your entry. Submissions that do not meet all the guidelines will be disqualified. For additional questions, please contact communications@crpd.com.

The Details:

  • Like Cordova Recreation & Parks Foundation on Facebook 
  • Submit up to 3 photos of your taking that you think best captures and represents the diversity of our community as it relates to recreation, parks and/or golf
  • The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame
  • All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
  • Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel
  • Entries will be judged by the Cordova Recreation & Park District. All decisions are final. CRPD reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest guidelines.
  • By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the Cordova Recreation & Park District for advertising purposes 
  • Any photographs including identifiable images of people must include each individual’s permission. Submit the name and phone number of each individual. If individual is a minor, please submit their guardian’s information. If entrant’s photo is chosen as the winner, individuals will be contacted to verify they have provided permission to be entered into this contest.  
  • Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline passes
  • The prize must be collected by the winner. The winner will be contacted via the e-mail address provided during entry. If no response is received after 5 business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize. 
  • Before uploading your photos, please ensure the file name includes your First and Last Name, followed by a number from 1-3.
